I took some trash out today and there was this girl trying to throw a mattress in the dumpster. I just KNEW she was going to ask me for my help because she was maybe 100 lbs and the mattress was a king size.
"Hey, can you help me with this?"
"I don't think you're supposed to do that."
"I've seen mattresses in here before."
"Right. I still don't think you're supposed to throw them away like that."
and I walked away. I'm not about to be part of your miscreant business!
What if she didn't even live here and drove around until she found an empty dumpster? Her truck was backed up to the dumpster like she just drove in!
I went to my girlfriend's apartment yesterday and I saw a man toss his trash bag on the ground with a heap of other trash because there were several HUGE mattresses in the freaking dumpster! What is wrong with people? Does laziness breed laziness?
What a crock.

*Adendum: I realize my photos suck. I will be using my actual camera from now on and not my phone, and try for better light quality as well.*

I've got about 6 different computers stitched together in this one. It's purpose is to replace the MK2 and take over the duties running on Pappy's 7.1 surround sound theatre. MK2 pretty well bit the dust when I attempted to upgrade the MOBO.
First stages of assembly.
I originally was going to just stick with the stock CPU cooler and improve the case's airflow.
I was missing the IO shield so I had to improvise.
Then I added casters for mobility.
1G video and 5.1 surround sound card.
Then moved to a 7.1 with optical out so it would be fully compatible with the receiver.
Then I figured that 45 degrees Celsius was not good enough and upgrade the CPU Cooler
Test fit and function test. The Cooler barely cleared the PSU.
Got a mess of wires now...
Time to tidy it up!
Nice and clean.
Boom.
9 fans. Got the CPU down to 26 degrees Celsius.
And a better shot of the interior.
Intel Core Due 2.13Ghz
4G Ram
1G Video Card
7.1 Digital Sound
400G HDD space.
2 DVDROM/Writers
3.5" Multi Card Reader
3.5" Floppy.
Haven't gotten an OS on it yet but it'll sport Windows 7 and hook up to 2 terabytes of multimedia data, 7.1 surround, and 55 inches of LCD LED goodness.
I'm thinking of building another one similar because I found another Core Duo in my box-o-stuffs.

"Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony."
I am not generally a depressed person. I usually can find the bright side of just about any situation. Since I am a walking disaster, the king of bad luck, and living proof of the truth in Murphy's law, "What can go wrong will go wrong." I usually pull through just fine because I am not prone to letting anything stop me. However this makes fate very angry and she has recently pulled a new one out of her bag of dirty tricks that I honestly cannot see myself getting through.
Normally your own decisions dictate the consequenses you have to deal with. One can steer their life in whatever direction they wish and if a mistake is made you can only blame yourself, get over it, and move on. Sometimes the decisions of others directly effect your life and you have no control over the consequenses that are thrust upon you. It happens, we're all human, we make mistakes. Thats what forgiveness and compassion are for.
Having good freinds and family makes it easy to forget that greed, lazyness, and selfishness are what drive some people. Hook that up with decisions that directly effect others and bad luck in general and you quikly get a nightmare playing out befor you that you cannot wake up from.
Bad luck and rotten people who make selfish choices that directly effect me has me between hell and a hard place. I have litterally done eveything in my power to solve the situation with no success and the game is drawing to a close.
Its not over yet, there is still one more roll of the dice and it is not my turn. I can't throw in the towel, its too late for that. I did everything I could to keep all of my eggs out of the same basket but fate and luck had a different plan. Luck gets to decide what the dice roll and fate gets to decide what the space says that you land on and they have formed a secret alliance because they cant win on their own. I see two endings: one seems impossible and one seems innevitable.
I can't help referencing The Matrix in this post but some of the ideas in that series are completely relevant. Also I am typing this on my PSVita and it is not easy, pisses me off, and has no spell check. Nevertheless I feel I effectively described my feelings on the current issue I am having without pointing fingers, maintaining anonymity, and keeping the subject recondite.
Update: It seems things may be moving into my favor. For once. Finally.

Quikie
Just an update:
I've been dealing with a lot as of late. Namely work and this having to move business.
Work: I am under appreciated and taken advantage of. It's difficult to find the motivation to take pride in my work and to continue to strive to do it well when nobody cares and when they think that your efficiency is just an excuse to double your workload. I somehow manage to scrape it together and get myself caught up at the end of every week and I can still say I'm the best at what I do in this company. I don't mean that all prideful and egotistical but the evidence is there.
Having to move: A big mess summed into one line. I've got 2 potential residents and continue to search for more and I am confident I will survive the debacle.
I got 105.9 Miles to the Gallon when I filled up my bike this morning. As much as I want a nicer, faster, cooler, awesomer bike I can't bring myself to turn my back on this little Hyo. It's crazy and I love it.
I also recovered the seats with new vinyl a couple weeks ago and blew myself away at how awesome I am again.
I have a masterful idea for my next post, however I must do research and prepare accordingly. So fret not for I will return.
Pew!

Sammiches, retail, and restrooms
I went to Jimmy Johns for some food cuz I'm freaking starving because I've been sick and haven't eaten much in the last 3 days and had various digestive distress. Whilst I was there there was Dubstep "Music" playing. I told the cashier that there was something wrong with their speakers. She took me to be serious and asked, "You mean this one over here?"
"No. All of them. They all seem to be making the same horrible noise."
Then she laughed and that was the end of that adventure.
I think everyone should have to work retail so they can learn how to be customers.
Customers are usually horrible, horrible people. Working around such makes me try to be the best customer any employee has ever dealt with when I go anywhere.
Most popular question of all time: "Do you work here?"
Lets see... Bright red shirt with my work's logo on one breast and my name brightly embroidered opposite.
I so want to reply with, "No, I don't work here." and hope they continue to fail to notice how obviously I do.
Drives me crazy.
Most popular question number 2: "Where is the restroom?"
This one doesn't bother me so much. Our restroom is in a stupid place. So many people, however, inquire upon the location of the restroom that it begs the question: does nobody else in the whole universe go to the bathroom before they leave the house? and is this really your first time in this tiny store and you've never walked past the restroom before?
Final selection for the night: Public Restroom Etiquette.
Again I will be referring to the restroom at my work. They are single stall restrooms with just a toilet. It blows my mind how rude people are about it all. When I am in the restroom it is constantly bombarded. My mind works differently than most because when I see a closed door on a small store's little bity bathroom I think, "Perhaps it's occupied, I should knock to be sure." The mindless masses do not. They go straight for the knob. Not only do I hear the knob constantly being twisted while I'm in there but immediately after most every twist is the dull thud of the person throwing his entire body-weight against the door. So these people are not only checking to see if the door is locked but are simultaneously trying to smash the door down on whomever is inside. Just this morning a man did this then proceed to pound his fists on the door demanding to know how much longer I was going to be in there. When I do finally exit the lavatory most people waiting will try to shove their way in before I even have a chance to step out. Usually they are closing the door on me before I can manage all my limbs past the threshold. I understand the urgency when nature calls but holy crap! You don't have be a dick about it!!
There is a scene in The Boondock Saints 2 where the mafia boss gets pissed because one of his guys try to correct his grammar so he beats him in the face with a giant summer sausage when he least expects it.
That's what I wanna do every time a chump is a wanker about public bathroom etiquette.

Some shooting reports (bragging about how awesome I am mostly)
Back in February I headed home for a long weekend. It was my little sister's birthday and I had her big main huge awesome present from everyone. I stopped and picked up Granny (who is always a pleasant travel companion because of her life stories, her sweet personality, and her Cadillac.)
Recently my family and I underwent a project .22 for the youngest in the family and it came out brilliantly. It's fancy upgrades have me jealous! Here is a picture:
My sister and I ventured out after her birthday and shot our .22s together. I don't get to spend much time with her and our interests have never seemed real similar until Skyrim and shooting .22s. We literally had a blast, we both shot very well, and we plan to do this as often as we can. Here is a couple pics of our targets:
I went shooting today at the local out-door range with one of my best friends and we had a grand time. We both brought our Ruger 10/22 rifles and our surplus rifles. Me with my K31 Swiss in 7.5x55 and Mosin Nagant 91/30 in 7.62x54r and he with his Yugo Mauser in 8mm Mauser.
We left early in attempt to beat the crowds that plague this range on the weekends and getting there shortly after opening we had secured ourselves a bench each at the short range (15 feet-50 yards). He has his .22 in a synthetic side-folding pistol-grip stock with no optics. Mine is all original save it be the UTG 4x illuminated scope and picatinny rail I installed.

I love my .22. It was my first gun and will always be a favorite. I can shoot the wings off a fly at 25 yards and the head off a skunk at 50. It's incredibly reliable, lightweight, and cheap to shoot.
Her smiley target @50 yards with her 1x red dot.
My smiley target @ 50 yards with my 4x mildot scope.

Above is my first target from the 25 yard line. The two circled shots were my first two shots from my K31 as I tried to zero the Leapers 4x scope I mounted on it. I then got it into the bull's eye and shot a second mag to confirm it. I then took my .22 and shot the 4 groups on the second circle plus the group on the bar-code.
I shot another group with the Swiss at 50 yards but it was too embarrassing to post.
We then put the .22s away and headed for the 100 yard range. I shot a decent group high and to the right and on the way back from checking the shots (since we don't have a spotting scope) I said to my friend, "I'm thinking 5 clicks over and 10 clicks down." Then I shot this group after sight adjustment:
Measured it's a 1 and 5/8 of an inch group.
Poser picture:
My buddy put all 5 on the page with his Mauser's open sights. He then took the Swiss and shot this group:
More poser pics of the 69 year old surplus rifle.
Clamp on scope mount and a free 4x scope a friend of mine gave me
Sits off the right a little, so shooting it is different than normal scoped bolt-actions.
There was a dude on the bench next to us shooting one of these:
Scoped by one of these thousand dollar Vortex scopes:
He had quite the setup too with a fancy and expensive looking bipod and elbow pads...
His groups weren't any better than the ones we shot with my K31. What a nOOb.

An open rant to Panda Express
Dear Panda Express,
I don't like how I don't get skipped to the front of the line when I've made my decisions, my plate is ready and I have cash in hand but instead have to wait behind the weird lady that doesn't know what she wants.
I'm not the kind of person that goes shopping to find something to buy. I go shopping because I know exactly what I want. I want to go in, get my crap, and get out. I may ask an employee for the location of the item I am looking for but that's about as much social interaction I can stand in a public place. *I already know I will pick the worst line in the whole store no matter how short it looks so the less time I have to spend wandering around looking for what I want to buy the better.
When I'm shopping for food I actually do it when I'm hungry. I've heard some people say you shouldn't do that because then you'll buy too much and blah blah I stop caring about their opinion right there because it works for me and obviously not for them. Being hungry while shopping for food does the following for me:
-makes me want to get done as fast as possible so I can go eat my new food!
-normally difficult decisions become super easy
I feel the same way about Panda Express. I already know what I am going to get. I don't want chow mien, I would not like to try any samples, I do not want to get it to stay, please give me some chopsticks, and NO I don't want any egg-rolls with that. If I can spit that out faster than you can pick up the styrofoam thingy then you should promptly escort me to the front of the line ahead of the other drabbling idiots so that I can get on with my day.
Today this person on front of me in line was intolerable. I could see the frustration on the face of the employee helping too; she just wanted them out of the store! The person had to try a sample of just about everything so that she could sit there and say, "Gee that's good, but I just don't know." She practically had her meal before she even reached the register. Every time an entree was served she would demand to know if the server was sure that that was all she got per serving.
"Only one scoop?!"
"Yes only one..."
"So only 5 peices?!"
"Yeah, that is always..."
"Better make it a double order then!"
It went on. She needed to go back and get a second meal. She ended up getting 3 additional entrees but she wasn't sure which ones at first. The individual boxes were too small because they only held "one scoop." I looked over and the employee had pulled out their little mini scale to weigh the food as if to try to get the point across in a subtle manner that the proper proportions were being dealt. It took two employees to keep the beast at bay!
I was in line directly behind her. I had verbalized what I wanted quickly and clearly and in a split second my order was ready to go and I found that I was wrong to expect to hear, "Oh, okay you're all done and this ornery meatbag isn't! How about we ring you up right now and get you on your way?" Instead I had to wait and suffer. This isn't the drive through! We aren't physically forced to stay in line because of concrete barriers! There are TWO registers! And one employee is just standing there not sure what to do because of the moron vibes that were emanating!
Maybe I am such a good customer because I work in retail and I know how terrible it is to deal with a rotten one? How hard is it to be polite and courteous? Why is it called "Common Sense" when there is nothing common about it?
The End.
*Look for an upcoming post about my "luck" or so it is called. Maybe.*

>Example<
"Should I get the S'mores Pop-Tarts or the Chocolate Fudge?" Normally you would sit there in the isle in everyone's way thinking about something that doesn't really matter. But when you're hungry you're stomach does the thinking for you in the way of cravings: you get one, the other, or both! Heck, I might not even crave Pop-Tarts at the time of shopping and I'd skip the isle all together.
-I have always been healthy because my body tends to crave what it needs and I eat what I crave. This, however, is not true for all humans.
-I hardly ever buy too much because what I get is only what I want at the time. This isn't to say that I only shop for one meal at a time because I'll say "what am I hungry for dinner? or lunch? and breakfast?" and boom, I've got a couple weeks worth of food. I feel the same way about Panda Express. I already know what I am going to get.
